As some of you are aware, the site is due for a facelift... and that's putting it mildly! We (the mother/son founding partnership) are so happy with how the site has grown these past two years, that we have decided to put a lot more into Overfiftiesfriends.co.uk, so that you, the members can get a lot more out of it. Firstly, we will change the name to Overfiftiesfriends.com. Hopefully we can then spread our social community across borders as well.

We will also add a lot more functions, or things to do, to the site. These will include blogs, clubs, a better chat room (!) and a lot more advanced friendship features (adding, finding, inviting friends etc).

From the beginning, the focus of Overfiftiesfriends.com has always been friendship for the over 50s. This will remain the focus, but we will also add a separate over fifties dating section. We have noticed that there is a need for this service. We have decided to keep the two sections separate so as to keep the good, functioning, friendship and activities thing going, but also provide visitors with something new, should they wish for it.

The new site will bring with it some changes in the subscription structure (for the better!), so please understand that on the launch day, it will be necessary to bring these changes into effect.

We look forward to seeing you in the new, improved Overfiftiesfriends.com community in the near future. So watch this space in the comnig weeks/months...
