Like you, we were wondering how these 18-inch ILY 4ever dolls compare to the 18-inch American Girl dolls. Surprisingly, they are pretty close! We have a "Inspired by Cinderella" doll and have a set of pictures showing her in comparison to the American Girl Luciana doll. The Luciana doll is wearing a dress from the Liberty Jane pattern collection (coming soon!) The dresses can be worn by either doll and fit just about the same on each body.

We also love these dolls because they are absolutely adorable. Some dolls have slightly creepy faces or their faces are so distorted with oversized eyes and enormous heads compared to their bodies. While the eyes are definitely exaggerated in true Disney form, the dolls are adorable. Nothing creepy about them at all! I can totally understand the hype and anticipation over these dolls. This new collection of 11-inch fashion dolls follows the same idea as the 18-inch ily 4EVER dolls that have been gracing the shelves of Target for a while now. Namely, they are styled as Disney fangirls who wear modern clothing that is based on color schemes and thematic designs inspired by the classic Disney Princesses. It's a very cool concept--especially for an 11-inch fashion doll.

I just wish that Disney would live up to their image and name and just make an outstanding play-doll body. They won’t be reinventing the wheel.
