About this deal

Interviewer: What strikes me, Mr. Doubleblade, is the discrepancy between your book language and the way you express yourself in this interview. I mean, you know the correct plural of dilemma! Interviewer (curious): Then let's start right away and talk about the physical stuff. Did you do all the stunts yourself? The following Quest_ID and Index codes can be used with the Journal Console command to manually update the quest to a certain point. Mystery of the Dwarves (MG_Dwarves) Both of these passages are from original drafts of the "Durin's Folk" appendix, and while neither were taken up in the published text (and so their status as a canon or final decision on the matter must be considered dubious) they do imply that the Dwarves did eventually die out.

Qualcosa potrebbe ancora succedere... Eventually, they reached a point where they were practically out of food and tried to beg from a group of feasting Wood-elves. Thorin was captured by these Elves, while the remaining company, with the exception of Bilbo, were snared by Giant Spiders. Bilbo rescued them with the help of his magic ring, but they were soon captured by the angry Elves and imprisoned by their king. Arch-Mage Trebonius was pleased when I showed him the three Dwemer books. He said this was sufficient and thanked me for solving the mystery of the disappearance of the Dwarves. But have you ever wondered what happened to the dwarves after all was said and done? Dwarves live for a while, so where were these characters during The Lord of the Rings trilogy? The answers for some of them might not be exactly what you wanted to hear! Many things of beauty and wonder remained on earth in that time ... Dwarves still laboured in the hills and wrought with patient craft works of metal and stone that none now can rival. The other day I was talking with a dear colleague, Valyakov or something like that. Different setting, but also a Heitz world. The poor guy had learned after the fact that he almost died in the sixth volume! Imagine that! You go into a fight and suddenly the arrow hits fatally! But a woman interceded, and that's why he kept the part. Bibliography [ edit ] Translated into English [ edit ] The Dwarves ( Die Zwerge) [ edit ] English release date Whether you’re in the group that loves or in the group that hates the Hobbitmovies, there’s no denying that these were pretty big films that made A LOT of money! Even though the movie was called The Hobbit, most of the attention was focused on the dwarves and their epic quest to retake the Lonely Mountain from the dragon, Smaug. We spent three movies watching these dwarves fight for what was rightfully theirs, so it’s hard not to get attached to some of them. Also, as far as proposed reconciliation of hobbits and modern history, Encyclopedia of Arda has to say this:

Boïndil Doubleblade: That's right. Just kidding. I've already hinted at something, but that's all I want to talk about. Interviewer: I imagine it's very difficult to maintain friendships with other characters outside of the book. It is because of the fewness of women them that the kind of Dwarves increases slowly, as in peril when they have no secure dwellings. For Dwarves only take one wife or husband each in their lives, and are jealous, as in all matters of their rights. The number of dwarf-men that marry is actually less than one-third. For not all the women take husbands: some desire none; some desire one that they cannot get, and so will have no other. As for the men, very many also do not desire marriage, being engrossed in their crafts.Interviewer: Then I'll ask the director to show the scenes. You're welcome to comment, Mr. Doubleblade. I was also a little disappointed with the decision to set the story 250 years later as some of the better characters from the first three books are now dead. Rodario in particular was always entertaining and added a lighter touch; his descendants that feature here are simply not as amusing as he was. Boïndil Doubleblade: Yes, a few tidbits to get you in the mood and to prove that even in a book, not every scene works right away. (grin) And the line of Dáin prospered, and the wealth and renown of the kingship was renewed, until there arose again for the last time an heir of that House that bore the name of Durin, and he returned to Moria; and there was light again in deep places, and the ringing of hammers and the harping of harps, until the world grew old and the Dwarves failed and the days of Durin's race were ended. Glóin is known primarily for being the father of Gimli, and accompanying him in Rivendell. When he was in the Company, he and his brother Óin often were in charge of lighting fires.
